Jacalyn C. Spoon, MLS Jacalyn "Jacie" came to the Lab of Ornithology in January 2004 to open the Adelson Library to the public. With 20 years of experience as a library assistant and a fresh Master's Degree in Library Science from the University at Buffalo, Jacalyn was ready to fly.

Elizabeth Cowdery Elizabeth "Betsy" has worked at Olin Library since February 2007. She completed her Junior year at Cornell University in May 2008. She is majoring in Mathematics and French and hopes to work in a French speaking country following graduation in 2009. Betsy, an Ithaca native, has been coming to the Lab of Ornithology since she was a child. She has watched the Lab change through the years and has her own favorite places for birding. During the summer of 2008, Betsy worked as a student intern through the develop your own internship program. She continued through the Fall 2008 semester as a part-time casual assistant. She returned during the Spring 2009 semester as a student assistant.

Ayla Cline In November 2006 Ayla started working as a student volunteer intern at the Adelson Library in an effort to complete a required high school community service project. Now she works as a paid assistant when she returns home during her college breaks.

Adam S. Davis Adam began working at the Adelson Library in 2005 when he was a high school student. He is now attending Tompkins Cortland Community College. He can usually be seen helping out at special events.

Suzanne Broderick Suzanne has been associated with the Library since 2004 when she began working as a volunteer while working as a substitute teacher. In 2007 she worked as a part time library assistant and returned to volunteer duty in December 2008. She worked as a Collections Assistant from June to November 2008. Suzanne holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and is a qualified science teacher for grades six to twelve. She is also an active member of the Tompkins County Quilters Guild. |
Lacy Sweeney--Volunteer Library Assistant
Lacy began volunteering for the Library in June 2009. She is a student at SUNY Geneseo. She has not yet declared a major. We are hoping to steer her towards science.
Archana Jaba Baruah--Volunteer Library Assistant
Archana Jaba began volunteering for the Library in June 2009 soon after she moved to Ithaca with her family. She has a Master's degree in Economics from Delhi University and has worked in non-profit and corporate research institutions in India. She is a nature lover and enjoys capturing its beauty through drawing and photography. She wanted to be associated with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology when she fell in love with the Sapsucker Woods where it is housed. For her, the Lab of Ornithology is a great place offering many opportunities for pleasurable learning. Wherever she might go, she always wants to be close to nature in some way or the other.
Linda Orkin--Volunteer Library Assistant
Linda began volunteering for the Library in January 2009. She is also a docent at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology leading guided bird walks through the Sapsucker Woods.
Robin Tuttle--Volunteer Library Assistant
Robin began working as a volunteer at the Adelson Library in January 2009. She has a Master's Degree in Library Science and has been a stay-at-home, home schooling mom for several years.
