Migration Celebration

Join us Saturday May 17, 2008, 10:00AM to 3:00PM for the Sapsucker Woods Migration Celebration.

We will read Flute's Journey, Birdhouses for rent and Blubird Summer.

 

The Librarian will be available to teach visitors about Lab of Ornithology and Cornell University databases.

Discover Library and Lab of Ornithology Resources 

Instructor: Jacalyn Spoon, Adelson Library

Intended for anyone wishing to see what they might be missing, this workshop will provide an overview of available library services and resources and will include a hands-on session to try various resources and the opportunity to ask more detailed questions.

This workshop may cover the following topics:
• Accessing the Macaulay Library catalog
ebird
All About Birds
• Birds of North America Online and in paper
• Accessing the CUMV catalog
Fuertes Image Database
• Finding Databases, E-Journals and other resources
• An introduction to:
Biosis, Web of Science, Zoological Record and Science Direct
• Inter-Library Loan and Delivery Services
• Finding books and Using Cornell University Library services

If you can't make it to this session Discover Library and Lab of Ornithology Resources  will be offered several times throughout the summer and fall check the workshop schedule. Please don't forget to register.
