Featured Photos from Charles Briggs

I don't consider myself a photographer, in fact the camera and lens that I use belongs to my wife who's skills far exceeds mine. What I do possess is patience though, I enjoy sitting for hours regardless of the weather, waiting, observing, and ocassionally taking a photo. We live on the least developed lake in Snohomish County, Washington, a small 16 acre private lake in the foothills of the Cascades at 960' elevation which leads to a very diverse bird population. I've identified 72 species of birds from our property. I started posting photo's in order to educate our community, few people realized the abundance of wildlife in our community. I'd like to think that it's brought some awareness to the community towards the need to protect and preserve what we have. Thoreau had Walden, but I wouldn't trade anything in the world for Lake Kayak.
