I grew up in Lycksele, Sweden, just south of the arctic circle. I moved to Belleville, Michigan in September 2006.
As a kid I would spend countless hours by the window watching the birds at the feeder, so my interest in birds was born at an early age. Photography came as a natural step for me to try and share my experiences out in the wild.
Since I always lived close to nature, I grew to have a great deal of respect for the wild. Out of this respect, I try and take an ethical approach to my photography. I always put my photo subject's well being first and if I don't get the photo I will simply try again.
