Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey
January 2-16
The Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey is designed to monitor the status of Bald Eagle wintering populations in the contiguous United States by estimating national and regional populations and trends. Each January, several hundred individuals count eagles along standard, non-overlapping survey routes.

Visit the USGS web site for trend results from previous years or to contact a regional coordinator if you are interested in participating.
