The Fuertes Room

The Fuertes Room was once the study of Frederick Foster Brewster, a businessman from Connecticut. He bequeathed the entire room to the Lab, allowing us to display some of Fuertes' finest work in a beautiful setting that complements the artwork, earning its nickname as "the Sistine Chapel of bird art".

Twenty masterful paintings of waterfowl and gamebirds by Louis Agassiz Fuertes grace the walls of  Frederick Foster Brewster's transplanted study.
