The Bird Identification Station

Ever wondered what a particular bird you saw on the trails sounded or looked like? This interactive, touch-screen kiosk introduces visitors to the most common birds of Sapsucker Woods.

The Bird Identification Station takes the most common birds of Sapsucker Woods and literally puts them at your fingertips!  Its unique touch-screen interface  allows you to quickly find the bird you were looking for based on where you saw it, then provides you with natural history information and a recording of the species' song.

So, next time you're stumped by a bird in Sapsucker Woods, head for the Bird ID station located inside the Johnson Visitors' Center!
