Recordings of Observed Birds

Date: 27 July 2006  Location: Town of Caroline, Tompkins Co, New York

This bird was singing repeatedly from a hidden perch low to the ground. At one point the bird gave its flight call in the middle of song. The first example is a 5 second cut. The vocalization just before 4 seconds is the flight call.

This is an enlargement of the flight call (above). Note the rapid modulation of the vocalization, which makes the vocalization sound "springy".
