BirdSleuth announces a new Ambassador program.

In an effort to better reach and support new audiences, BirdSleuth is launching a new Ambassador program. Jennifer Fee, BirdSleuth Project Leader, explains why the new program is so important, “When I do a BirdSleuth teacher professional development workshop, I find that teachers are amazed at how easy it is to do citizen science in their classrooms.  When I show them how a global database like eBird can help them teach math, science, and technology skills to their students—they can’t wait to try it!  I really want to be able to offer BirdSleuth workshops in new localities.  The personal support, and just showing teachers how easy citizen science is, seems key to success.”

Jennifer has developed Power Point shows, recruitment flyers, and supplies, to help Ambassadors more easily reach their local edcuators.  She can also help educators seek funding for their efforts by working with their local businesses and potential donors.  If you are an educator who would like to reach other educators with BirdSleuth, please give Jennifer a call at (607) 254-2403, or click here!
