Citizen Science

With FeederWatcher Lin Folsom at the Lab’s booth at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show, Seattle, Washington.

Engaging the public in scientific research is a powerful approach for gathering critical data over large spatial and temporal scales. At the same time, many participants learn and become energized to better appreciate and understand the natural world. As co-director of the Center for Engagement in Science and Nature at the Cornell Lab, I’m privileged to interact with people who have observations to share and stories to tell. We offer a suite of citizen-science programs tailored to a diversity of interests, skill levels, and levels of commitment.
