Children's Harlem Zone (TRUCE)
Youth from the Children's Harlem Zone TRUCE program worked with Youme Landowne and New School students to create a mural featuring birds and the environment.
This activity was possible thanks to Groundswell a nonprofit that brings together professional artists, grassroots organizations and communities in partnership to create high quality murals in under-represented neighborhoods.
Teens from TRUCE first sketched ideas on paper before creating an outline of their mural. Below we've included some of their sketches:

TRUCE youth and the public created a 'portable mural' in Central Park. People of all ages and artistic abilities shared in the the creation of the mural.
