Ellen BartlettEllen Bartlett -- a birder since the age of four years, graduated from Houghton College in December 2008 with a degree in Spanish and linguistics.  She is a native of Syracuse, New York, and has a love for languages and other cultures. She enjoys knitting, reading, music, horseback riding and biking. Ellen hopes to use her linguistic talents in a career as a translator and/or interpreter.

 

 

 


Chris JordanChristopher Jordan --Chris received a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation and a B.A. in Spanish at the University of Massachusetts, where he first became involved with community-based monitoring and citizen science.  He is particularly interested in understanding how different cultures interface with participatory scientific initiatives and plans to address related questions at Michigan State University, where he will begin a PhD program in fall 2009.  He has collaborated with CUBS since late 2008 by translating the website and working to establish links between the program and la Reserva el Patrocinio in Guatemala.
