The city is a nice place.  My neighborhood is quiet in the morning.  I like the calm sound of the buses.  I like the architecture.  There are trees and birds even in the city. 

 There is a park near where I live called Riverbank.  That’s where I see birds and ducks. I go fishing there, too.

When I was four I saw a show on TV about a man who made pictures. That’s when I started drawing. I’ve been drawing since then. Later, my teacher showed me how to draw a face but mostly I just figure out things by myself. I make up my subjects in my head.  They depend on how I feel.  For example, on my birthday I felt happy – I made a beach.  On Halloween I drew a picture of a bridge and trees with colored leaves. When I’m angry I draw a picture to calm me down. Sometimes I imagine my future and paint about it.  I make art every week. I use watercolor, pencils, charcoal, and oil paint. 

My mother said she always thought my name sounded like an artist’s name.

I guess she was right!
