Jeff loves water birds, especially, and has done a lot of work to protect the loons on his lake. | When Jeff saw a man harassing an injured trumpeter swan by driving a motor boat around and around her he was smart and brave enough to take a picture of what was happening. That man ended up in jail because Jeff was out on the lake, saw what happened, and documented it.
And the swan was rescued and Jeff helped take care of her.
| Jeff says, “ I learn something new from everybody I go out birdwatching with…My latest favorite activity is a stream stewardship project, where we go out and see how healthy the stream is by counting all the invertebrates and fish and observing the wildlife. My mom and I saw a great horned owl on one of our stream study days. ” | ![]() |
