I am in my final semester and am working on a research thesis on Rock Pigeon (Columba livia).
Due to this research I am motivated to study different birds that are
found in urban localities. I would like to Celebrate Urban Birds in Pakistan. I have five others in my group who are also interested.
In Pakistan I am living in Rawalpindi near Islamabad, the
capital city of Pakistan. I think if I can start this celebration at
a neighborhood level we can then achieve the height of the sky. We have very little funds to use to celebrate urban
birds in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
My native Language is "URDU". My English is not so perfect.
In Pakistan, House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) are present in large numbers but their nesting sites change day by day due to loss of safe nesting sites.
European Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris), also called Common Starlings are seen in Common Myna flocks in Pakistan.
Here is a poster that I made on Wetlands Day, 2009.
