The Urban Bird Sounds Project
Sharing Student Successes. Expanding Opportunities for Learning.

Students from Codman Academy Charter Public School (Boston, MA) recently completed an exciting new guide to urban birds: The Urban Bird Sounds Project. Written and narrated “by students, for students,” the guide offers an audio introduction to the songs and calls of common urban bird species. Created with support from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds and the Environmental Leadership Program, the guide is now available, free, to students and educators throughout the country.
