Caroline Lewis
Director of Education for the Center for Teaching and Learning at the Fairchild Botanic Garden

| Caroline Lewis spent 22 years as a science teacher and high school principal. She currently directs Fairchild's education department with programs engaging over 35,000 students and thousands of adults, annually. She also designed and initiated the creative, competitive multidisciplinary Fairchild Challenge program to promote teenagers' botanical and environmental awareness, scholarship, and stewardship. Ontario, Canada and in New York City. Miami, Florida has been her
home for over 20 years where she currently lives with her husband and
two daughters, ages 14 and 15. Caroline has a BS in biology, a B.Ed
in middle and secondary school science and environmental science
education and an MS in educational leadership. She has a passion for
education and considers herself a lifelong learner.
