Sanctuary Dirctor of the Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary in Lothian, Maryland
 | My background is in ornithology and herpetology, and I'm the director of a wetland sanctuary on the Patuxent River in Maryland. I enjoy studying estuaries and wetlands, and teaching about the natural environment. I work with lots of volunteers, from high school age to retired. We monitor water quality, wetland plants, turtles, invasive species and birds. I especially like working with older adults and helping them to become knowledgeable about ecology, and about the ways that society impacts our environment. |
