Felicity Arengo, co-PI

Dr. Felicity Arengo is Associate Director of the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation at the American Museum of Natural History where she helps oversee strategic planning, project development, and fundraising efforts. Felicity has over fifteen years of field research and project experience, with a focus on Latin America. She is currently the Western Hemisphere coordinator of the IUCN Flamingo Specialist Group and is working with colleagues throughout the Americas on flamingo and wetland research and conservation. She received a M.Sc. in 1994 and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology in 1997 from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Prior to joining the AMNH in December 2004, Felicity was the Assistant Director of the Latin America and Caribbean Program at the Wildlife Conservation Society. She is also adjunct professor at Columbia University.
