Invitation: Fusion Forum on Citizen-Generated Data

A Forum, 14 NOV 2012, hosted by the US Department of Health and Human Services, brings together practitioners to discuss how to access, manage, and work with citizen-generated data.

(From the e-list, 25 OCT 2012. Interested in subscribing? Click here!)

Many of you may have seen a widely-circulated invitation a few weeks back to a Public Health Emergency Forum entitled, “Bring Your Own Data: Opportunities and challenges in using citizen-generated data for situational awareness.” I got the scoop from Kelly Bennett at the US Department of Health and Human Services (hosts for the event): in pursuing their own interests in learning more about citizen generated data initiatives (particularly in Federal contexts), they're creating a space for cross-programmatic and cross disciplinary learning for others as well! Interested in sharing your insights on how to access, manage, or support citizen-generated data? Join us in Arlington, VA, 8am-5pm, Wednesday, November 14th. A list of speakers will be posted soon (I'll be there, as will reps from Project BudBurst, HealthMap, Wildlife Health Event Reporter, FieldScope, Phylo, and more!).
