The Warbler

The warbler despite its tiny size
is truly a bird that's instinctively wise.

Can you imagine weighing an ounce or less
and yet having such great mightiness?

Such a small bird with a brain the size of a pea,
yet each year it automatically knows where it should be.

A stunning outfit of bright blue or red it does not bear,
rather brown and black are the camouflage it wears.

In the fall the warbler stuffs his mouth
because he is aware of his long journey south.

How does it know how high to fly into the wind?
And when it reaches its goal how long there it should spend?

The answer to the questions we comprise,
is that the warbler is truly instinctively wise.
