Visitors’ Center Conference and Meeting Facilities
Are you looking for a special place for your next departmental or office gathering? Whether you’re hosting a departmental meeting or seminar, conference, retirement party, or winter holiday celebration, we may have just the space for you!
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Visitors’ Center, in the new Imogene Powers Johnson Center for Birds and Biodiversity, has three public spaces available by reservation:
AuditoriumCan accommodate 114 people, features adjustable lightning, plus digital sound system, and projection for DVDs and VCR tapes. |

Fuertes RoomHand-crafted conference table seats 18 with room for as many as 16 additional chairs. Drop-down screens also available. |

ObservatoryWide open space includes a stunning wall of windows overlooking Sapsucker Pond and features a gas fireplace, bird-feeding garden, avian artwork, and more. |
These rooms may be rented by Cornell University departments and Cornell University affiliated groups. Private groups (non-university affiliated, but “mission related”) may also be eligible to rent the facilities, though certain restrictions may apply.
For after-hours events, we have plenty of free parking, most of it very close to our building. The entire Visitors’ Center is fully ADA accessible.
