Connecting to Nature through Birds

An afternoon of outdoor exploration, games, and theater.

Join us at Sapsucker Woods for this fun event inspired by "National Take a Child Outside" week.

Sunday, October 5 from 1 to 4 pm
Cornell Lab of Ornithology Visitor's Center and Sapsucker Woods trails

Explore habitats and migratory birds in Sapsucker Woods, get a bird's perspective on finding food with our Foraging Game, and enjoy a variety of crafts and theater arts to celebrate our connections to birds and all of nature. Don't miss performances of two Native American legends: "Raven Brings Daylight" and "How Loon Became a Water Bird."
