Colby Neuman (Cornell 2005) is a student in the Cornell Presidential Research Scholars Program who is majoring in Atmospheric Sciences. He is interested in determining whether male tail-streamer length in North American populations of Barn Swallows influences the likelihood that a paired female will engage in extra-pair copulations. Colby is using DNA-based techniques to determine the paternity of Barn Swallow chicks.
