Working HereFor current Cornell graduate studentsA number of Cornell graduate students from various departments are currently working in our Evolutionary Biology Lab. Please contact Irby Lovette or Laura Stenzler if you would like to brainstorm about using our facility. We will be happy to discuss feasibility, training, scheduling, and costs. Our facility is a hybrid between a faculty research laboratory and a user lab, and part of our mission is to assist students in conducting efficient and high-quality projects. Some users of the lab work highly independently on projects that are not directly related to our own research initiatives. We ask in return that all users of the facility engage in the intellectual back-and-forth that is the hallmark of a dynamic research group. This engagement can take many forms depending on the individual and project: ad-hoc advising a benchmate on troubleshooting, supervising an undergraduate honors student, participating in our weekly lab meetings, etc. |
