The Home Study Course Scholarship Program is available to any individual, student, or professional that is actively engaged in the area of science education, research, or bird/biodiversity conservation. Successful applicants must demonstrate a financial need for scholarship support and describe how this training will enhance their efforts. If you are interested in applying for this opportunity please submit the required list of items detailed below via email or regular mail. HSC Scholarship awards will be announced on an annual basis. The number of awards given each year will depend on available funding for the Scholarship Program.

Scholarship applications will be accepted at any time and should consist of the following items (PLEASE NOTE THAT INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED):

• Your full name and address, your position/title, the name of the organization that you are affiliated with, and how you heard about our scholarship program.
  
  
• A cover letter detailing your affiliation, stating that you are applying to the HSC Scholarship Program, and a short 'bio' telling us a little bit about your personal and professional self.
  
  
• A Curriculum Vitae or Resume.
  
  
• An approximately one to three page proposal describing your current bird/biodiversity conservation and/or education efforts and how the knowledge and training provided by the HSC will help you achieve these goals.
  
  
• One or more letters of recommendation, including appropriate contact information

A review panel will be assembled once per year (in June or July) to choose as many HSC Scholarship Recipient(s) as funding for that year allows. Applicants will then be notified as to whether or not they have been chosen, or would need to reapply for the following year's HSC Scholarship award(s).
