Blue Jay "Tooting" Calls, Arkansas
These calls from a Blue Jay in Arkansas sound similar to the tooting of
Ivory-billed Woodpeckers. Although this recording didn't
fool bird experts, researchers believe that some Blue Jays could
produce calls that match the unknown calls recorded in
Arkansas. They are seeking more recordings of Blue Jays to document
other variants of the calls.
