North America”—bird photographs, videos, songs, quizzes—but
keeps the focus to 135 species, with beginning birders
in mind. Users can easily upgrade to “Guide to Birds of
North America” whenever they wish, and can do so online.
BIRDS OF MY AREA: a CD-ROM that helps you get to know the birds in your own
area. You decide which state, province or region to install. You can try
them all out and make your decision up to 30 days after you first install the
program. Includes color photos, songs, range maps, abundance maps, ID tips, ID Wizard, fun quizzes, and more. The "Birds of My Area" CD-ROM is a subset of the
full "Guide to Birds of North America" featuring all 930 species.
