2007 Daily Highlights:

Jun. 7 - A final image we have of the first early morning feeding the day before they fledged. After this- there were technical problems and we don't have images of the fledging.

Jun. 6 - On the wall (upper right side of image) is a centipede. It was there for a few frames and then disappeared. Perhaps a nestling ate it.

Jun. 5 - One of the nestlings standing on the edge of the nest and stretching their wings.

Jun. 4 - The first feeding of the day has typically been starting between 5:30 and 6 am.

Jun. 2 - A rare moment of composure as they are now spending a lot of time exercising & stretching their wings.

Jun. 1 - A sweet image of the female brooding the four young underneath her. These birds will be ready to leave the nest in about five or six days.

May 31 - One of the parents birds delivers what appears to be a moth or butterfly to the hungry nestlings.

May 30 - At about nine days old, the young birds are able to move about the tight quarters of the nest and regulate their own body temperatures.

May 29 - For reasons unknown, the server stopped archiving images for about a week. Viewers were however, able to witness the hatching of four of the five eggs on May 21st.

May 16 - The female sleeps through the night after a long day of incubation.

May 15 - After having technical difficulties with the image archives, we received this nice shot of the male and female together at the nest!

May 7 - The fifth egg was laid earlier today!

May 6 - It is almost 1:00 am and the female is in sleeping posture with her head tucked behind her wing.

May 5 - The female appears and we hope that there are more eggs to come!

May 5 - Our first image of the season with four Eastern Phoebe eggs in the nest!
