Daily Highlights:

Jun. 26 - All nestlings are officially fledglings!

Jun. 25 - Last one to go! In the comments Heard tells us one of these fledglings may have been banded
on this day.

Jun. 25 - First one to go! This afternoon to early evening the fledging took place. Watch the time lapse clip (1 min.) from about 2:00- 6:00 pm: PROW Fledge.

Jun. 25 - A spider! Now the chicks are receiving prey with hard exoskeletons.

Jun. 25 - The very first adventurer today! These babies will definitely be fledging any day now.

Jun. 24 - The babies are beginning to get their yellow coloring. They should be fledging soon!

Jun. 23 - Either mom or dad removing another fecal sac from the baby bird's cloaca.

Jun. 21 - One of the parents is about to carry away (or eat) a fecal sac. Prothonotary warbler chicks usually defecate right after they are fed, possibly just for the sake of efficiency.

Jun. 20 - The chicks are getting larger everyday! It appears that green caterpillars is their main diet.

Jun. 19 - The parents are working overtime, sometimes coming to the nest with two, three, or even four caterpillars in their mouths!

Jun. 18 - Another green caterpillar. For the first days of life the babies are fed only soft insects.

Jun. 17 - Here she is feeding her hungry babies.

Jun. 16 - Mom peeks up at the camera with an insect in her mouth.

Jun. 15 - The babies have been hatching all morning! Here we can see the mother discarding a piece of egg shell.

Jun. 14 - Here's all four eggs, due to hatch very soon indeed.

Jun. 13 - Here, it appears that the mother has covered up the eggs, most likely to keep them safe from predators.
