About the Photographer

I was born in Krishna-Godavari Basin of Southern India, a place that witnesses one the largest bird migrations on Earth. My birthplace is one of the world's largest natural gas reserves and tragically the home to many endangered species.

Growing up, I observed many fascinating creatures: colorful Painted Storks, Spot-billed Pelicans, peafowl, water buffalos, olive ridley turtles, and venomous cobras. These experiences influenced my interest in sketching and, later, wildlife photography.

A Master’s degree in computing gave me the opportunity to move to the United States in the late 1990s, where I worked with the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, and U.S. Forest Service on web-enabling conservation planning and the permitting process. My environmental concerns dramatically expanded during this period, as did my knowledge of North American flora and fauna.

My photography now hangs in both private and corporate collections. I am always searching for and finding new inspirations.
