FeederWatch Electronic Newsletter |

Project FeederWatch provides an electronic newsletter to keep participants and others up-to-date on the latest FeederWatch news. Messages are typically posted once or twice a month during the season, less often in the off-season. Subscribers can sign off of the list at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link a the bottom of each message or by following the instructions below.
The newsletter posts are sent in a format that allows us to include photos, and the messages may not display properly in older versions of email software (particularly Microsoft Outlook 2002 and 2003) or with some software settings. If you have trouble seeing the messages in your email, you can view them online:
To subscribe to PFWNews-L, the FeederWatch Electronic Newsletter, fill in the form below. Be sure to enter your full email address, and double check to be sure you enter the address correctly. When you're finished, hit the subscribe button. Once you are subscribed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail message.
If you have a spam blocking software on your computer, newsletter posts may be blocked. There are thousands of subscribers to this newsletter, so messages sent to subscribers can appear as spam (unwanted email messages) to many spam filters. If your filter allows you to choose addresses to receive email from, please set the program to allow messages from <feederwatch@cornell.edu>.
Signing-up to receive the FeederWatch Electronic Newsletter is completely unrelated to whether or not you are signed up to participate in the Project FeederWatch. Once you sign up for PFWNews-L you will remain subscribed (unless your email address changes or you unsubscribe per instructions below) regardless of whether your participate in FeederWatch. (Sign-up for Project FeederWatch here.) Furthermore, your email address for PFWNews-L is not automatically entered into the Project FeederWatch online date entry system or into the Lab's membership database. Receiving newsletter messages does not indicate that your email address is correct in other places. The databases are kept separate to protect your privacy. In order to receive an automatic login name or password reminder (for online data entry), your email address must be kept up-to-date in the online database by following the links under the Options/Help button inside of Data Entry.
If your email address changes, be sure to update your address in order to continue receiving posts in the future. First unsubscribe from your old email address by using your old email to send the unsubscribe message per instructions below. Then sign up your new address using the form above.
To stop receiving newsletter messages, click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the message. If you no longer have a message sent to the email address you would like to unsubscribe, send email IN PLAIN TEXT from that address as follows (messages sent with any special fonts, colors, graphics, or html will not work): 1. Create a message to PFWNews-L-request@cornell.edu If you are unable to send a message from your the email address you wish to unsubscribe, send us email telling us what address needs to be unsubscribed and that you no longer have access to that address. |
