FeederWatch Count Periods 2011-2012

Return to Instructions and Updates Index Page

Start and end dates

The first date to count birds for the 2011-2012 FeederWatch season is Saturday, November 12, and the last count date for the season is Friday, April 6 (meaning that the first day of your last two-day count must be no later than Thursday, April 5).

Count Periods for paper data submission

If you are entering data online and wish to enter your counts weekly, then you can ignore these Count Periods; just choose two consecutive Count Days each week.

For those submitting data on paper forms, the first letter of your last name indicates when each of your FeederWatch Count Periods begins. Select two consecutive Count Days for each Count Period during which you are able to participate.
