American Goldfinches in Florida

Carol Miller of Palatka, Florida, was amazed to find her feeder area filled with American Goldfinches one afternoon. Her husband commented that the finches were "swarming like insects!" She counted 150 of them at one point, which was more than our database expected anyone in Florida to see.

Northern Cardinals in Ohio

Northern Cardinals sure liked Marc Behrendt's feeders in January, 2002. He reported from his home in Somerset, Ohio, "We counted 47 cardinals in the feeders and among the trees!"

Barn Feeder

Lauralea Thompson, of  Whittier, California, sent us this picture of her creative feeder. The House Finches seem quite comfortable feeding from a barn.
