Wild Turkey

This turkey, photographed by Leora Worthington of Salinas, California, looks like a sculpture!

Some California birds

Tricia Bennett sent us these beautiful photos of the colorful birds she gets in her yard in San Diego, California. Pictured clockwise from top left are: Spotted Towhee, Black-headed Grosbeak, California Quail, and Scrub Jay.

Chickadees

Brian Carrigan was delighted to be able to photograph both a Black-capped Chickadee and a Mountain Chickadee (right) on his suet feeder at once in Blackfoot, Idaho. He wrote, "I'm proud of this photograph and wanted to share it with you. The elevation we live at has Black-capped Chickadees. This winter Mountain Chickadees have come down from the higher elevations....I have been trying to get a photograph of the two different species in one frame...for about 6 weeks. Today I got it!"

Partial Albino Spotted Towhee

We hear from FeederWatchers every year who see albino or partial albino birds at their feeders. This partial albino Spotted Towhee visited the feeder of Barbara Nash in Salt Lake City, Utah. Barbara wasn't sure what she had in her yard. She wrote, "I'm secretly hoping for some rare Siberian species blown in with the last storm." Isn't everyone!

  Common Redpoll

While many FeederWatchers hope each winter to see a Common Redpoll at their feeders, these birds are frequent  visitors to feeders in Alaska. These birds were photographed by Sallie Norman at her feeder in Sterling, Alaska.

  Arizona Birds

Jacob Lamb sent us these great shots from his yard in Scottsdale, Arizona. On the left is a Cactus Wren, and on the right is a nice comparison between a Mourning Dove (front) and an Inca Dove (back).
