American Tree Sparrow

American Tree Sparrows appear not to be wintering in typical numbers in some areas (deep red color; northern and western New York state, and southern Pennsylvania), but instead turned up in larger than normal abundance (deep blue color) in other areas, particularly around the junction of Lakes Huron and Erie. This shift in winter range is most obvious in the January-February maps.
