1. Start PigeonWatching with a
copy of the PigeonWatch Kit
containing a
beautiful color poster by
Julie Zickefoose, instructions, frequently asked questions, and
data forms.
2. Learn How to PigeonWatch
It's easy! Anyone can do it, no matter how little experience
you have with birds. Help scientists better understand pigeons.

Behaviors
- Pick a date, time, and place for watching birds
- go to the place where you'd like to PigeonWatch
- sit or stand in ONE place
- Watch ONLY the area you can see in front of you (approximately the
size of half a basketball court)
4. Start PigeonWatching: Using the data form
- Record how many pigeons you see in your study site (it's okay to estimate)
- Tell us the color morphs of the pigeons you see
- Figure out if any pigeons are courting
- Tell us the color morphs of the pigeons you see
courting.
