AUTUMN 2004/VOLUME 18, NUMBER 4 Urban Bird Studies Video Wins Award
In a scene from the award-winning video, Urban 4-H members in Ithaca, New York, conduct a Birds in the City transect. PhotoSynthesis Productions, LLC A new video about the Cornell Lab of Ornithology?s Urban Bird Studies has won an award in Cinema/Chicago?s 2004 INTERCOM, the International Communications Film and Video Competition. ?Citizens Helping Scientists: Urban Bird Studies? won a Gold Plaque in the category Educational—Child Audience. The video is an introduction to the Lab?s suite of urban citizen-science projects. Produced by PhotoSynthesis Productions, it includes footage and sounds of birds from the Lab?s Macaulay Library. The VHS-video can be purchased for $5 at www.urbanbirds.org.
