PREPARE TO PIGEONWATCH

  1. LEARN PIGEON COLOR MORPHS AND COURTSHIP BEHAVIORS

  2. LOCATE OR CREATE AT LEAST ONE PIGEONWATCH SITE

  3. COMPLETE A HABITAT FORM

  4. PRACTICE PIGEONWATCHING (optional)

CONDUCT PIGEONWATCH

  1. FILL IN THE TOP PART OF THE TALLY SHEET
    Record
    1. site name or number
    2. date
    3. time

  2. COUNT THE PIGEONS
    Record
    1. total flock count
    2. numbers of pigeons of each color
    3. the colors of pairs displaying courtship behaviors

  3. REPEAT YOUR COUNT

  4. RECORD THE TIME YOU FINISHED YOUR COUNT

  5. SUBMIT YOUR DATA USING THE ONLINE DATA ENTRY SYSTEM
