Learn about Doves and Pigeons
Pigeons and doves feed their nestlings "pigeon milk" which is regurgitated by both adults. It is also called "crop milk." Hatchlings only eat crop milk. As they get older it is gradually replaced by all seeds.
Inca Dove
Cool Inca Doves
During the day Inca Doves may roost in close proximity forming a pyramid in order to keep warm. They huddle with their feathers fluffed, wing to wing, one on the back of the other facing downwind in a sheltered sunny site. They may form two or three row pyramids for about 1 hour.
