 Research

Have students conduct their own research using our online bird databases.

These include Classroom FeederWatch, Project FeederWatch, The Birdhouse Network, Great Backyard Birdcount and eBird (available Fall 2002).

Students, working individually or in groups:

  • choose and refine a question they have about birds

  • retrieve data to answer their question

  • analyze and graph the data

  • write up their results

Finish up with an "Ornithology Conference" or "Poster Session" featuring student research results.
