Percentage of Feeders Visited

Answer to Example 2.

Percent =     4  Sites visited     X 100    =   40%
                       10 Sites

Scrub Jays were reported at four FeederWatch sites: Colville, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; Winter Park, FL; and San Antonio, TX. Six sites did not report Scrub Jays.

The percentage of sites reporting this species is calculated by dividing the number of sites reporting Scrub Jays by the total number of chosen FeederWatch sites.
