The lowermost slopes of the Andes mountains, where the Amazonian and Andean avifaunas overlap, are one of the richest locations for biodiversity in the world. Although birds are a conspicuous element in these forests, they are more easily heard here than seen.

This audio guide presents the vocalizations of 99 bird species found in the humid cloud forests on the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains. The region extends from southern Peru to northern Bolivia, 1500 to 2500 meters in elevation. Birds included on the guide include species such as Buff-fronted Owl, Trilling Tapaculo, and Yellow-billed Cacique. This audio guide is one of five in a series for this region.
