New $1.6M NSF Grant

Thanks to a new grant from the National Science Foundation, we’re thrilled to kick-off 4 years of research on some of the social and ecological aspects of feeding wild birds. The project, funded by the Dynamics of Integrated Socio-Environmental Systems panel at NSF, will rely heavily on the Project FeederWatch data and audience. The research team includes a phenomenal group of ecologists, social scientists, wildlife disease experts, and modelers from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Virginia Tech, The Ohio State University, and the University of Georgia.
