Since joining the K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics in 2008, I have visited 18 countries while supporting our research, as well as multiple environments from the tropics to the high Arctic. My bachelors of science in marine biology, along with many years of commercial fishing and business experience, have all proved vital to the success of our missions. In 2016, I led our team in the proposal and purchase of a research vessel for Yang Center projects, the R/V Jaeger, and oversaw its customization to our mission and function as its captain.

Year Hired: 2008
