Elizabeth Ng
During my undergrad, I worked with Steller’s Jays in California and studied the effects of human food consumption on their fitness. My Master’s research focuses on how spotted owls respond to novel disturbance and management regimes. More broadly, I am passionate about conservation focused management, avian ecology, and disturbance.
At the Yang Center, I’ll be working closely with my co-advisor, Dr. Connor Wood, on songbird responses to disturbance and management. We acoustically surveyed throughout the Sierra Nevada, CA, and I’ll be annotating and analyzing these data.
Outside of work, I love backpacking, knitting, and cooking. My favorite place to backpack is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
