I went to University of California, Davis as an undergrad, where I researched the acoustic communication and competitive ability of North American bison. Since then, I have worked on multiple research projects, including referential alarm-calling in California ground squirrels; behavior and vessel effects on the southern resident killer whales in the Salish Sea; and dusky dolphin acoustic repertoire and habitat use in Admiralty Bay, New Zealand. I am currently analyzing acoustic data sets to investigate the population biology and spatial ecology of marine and terrestrial species.
