Raven is a software program for the acquisition, visualization, measurement, and analysis of sounds. We offer several different packages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raven Workbench<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Raven Workbench is a comprehensive suite of applications designed to enhance and replace the capabilities of Raven Pro, and\u00a0support your audio analysis and passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) workflow. Our goal is to provide a set of modern software tools that are easier to use and focused on various steps in the PAM workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raven Annotate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For the creation, editing, and reviewing of a list of selections made from a sound file or a sequential array of sound files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the preparation of sound files for sound analysis, performing such tasks as changing audio file format, audio encoding, sample rate, bit depth, file name, etc. (replacing Sox-o-matic)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why update?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Raven Pro has been in development for over 20 years. The methods and approach for analyzing acoustic data has changed over that time, and we need new tools that are easier to use, more flexible, and more modern to adapt to these changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By separating the features into smaller simple applications sharing a common core, we can be more flexible and responsive when adding new features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Raven Workbench replace Raven Pro & Raven Lite?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Maintaining legacy software takes a lot of work. Eventually we will no longer sell or support Raven Pro, replacing it with the new Workbench apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legacy downloads will still be available. We will release a version with updated license terms allowing free access to it after support ends.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
