I am interested in using passive acoustic monitoring to determine distributions of cetacean species in order to inform conservation efforts. I discovered the world of bioacoustics during my internship at the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center Passive Acoustics Group analyzing sei whale distributions and came to value it as a reliable, non-invasive means of cetacean research and conservation. I also researched striped bass distributions using otolith microchemistry to determine natal estuaries of the NJ striped bass population at the Rutgers University Marine Field Station. I received a BS in Marine Biology at the University of Rhode Island with a Minor in Education in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
