2023b Citation & Checklist Downloads
Suggested citation for the current version of the Clements Checklist, including the December v2023b Updates and Corrections:

Three checklists are available. The first is the 2023b edition of the Clements Checklist (Clements Checklist v2023b); the second is the 2023 edition of the eBird taxonomy (eBird v2023); and the third is the v2023b version of the “master” or integrated checklist, which includes all entries in both the Clements Checklist and the eBird taxonomy.
NOTE: v2023 was released in October 2023. Version 2023b includes revisions to range statements only and was finalized in December 2023. The eBird Checklist does not include range statements so was not revised in December.
- Clements Checklist v2023b (5 MB Excel spreadsheet; 8.1 MB CSV File) Includes species, groups, and subspecies, with brief range description (revised in December 2023).
- eBird Taxonomy v2023 (1.3 MB Excel spreadsheet; 2.7 MB CSV File). Includes all categories that are reportable in eBird (including all taxa except subspecies from eBird/Clements Checklist) and is formatted with additional fields from eBird. - eBird/Clements Checklist v2023b (5.3 MB Excel spreadsheet; 8.5 MB CSV File ) Combines all taxa from the Clements Checklist and all additional categories from the eBird taxonomy, with brief range descriptions for all taxa (revised in December 2023).
